The annual appointment with the military flight returns to the Practice Base. After the great success of last year, the Air Force reopens its gates again to all fans of this wonderful world. This is a vital moment to check the operating level reached by the various flight groups, to admire the new planes up close, an expression of the most advanced and sophisticated technology. On display all the assets used by the Italian Air Force, the best expression of Made in Italy in the aeronautical field. During the event, the issues of surveillance and defense of airspace, humanitarian and medical transport, air rescue and, last but not least, the support of men and vehicles to Italian contingents deployed abroad on peacekeeping missions will be discussed.

Among the most important assets the brand new Eurofighter F-2000A “Typhoon. The fighter born from the establishment of a European consortium formed by Alenia Aermachhi-Airbus Group and BEA System represents and will represent the backbone of the defense line of the national airspace of all those Nations that will purchase the extraordinary aircraft. The flagship of our Made in Italy is the new Alenia C-27J “Spartan” transport aircraft. The brand new aircraft entered the flight line after the withdrawal of the old Alenia G-222 on September 10, 2005. An opportunity to admire the brand new Aermacchi M-346 “Master”, in its splendid blue livery and with the word Prototype-001 on the drift. The new training aircraft will gradually replace the legendary MB-339 currently in use at the flight school of Galatina and known by all enthusiasts because it is used by the Italian Acrobatic Patrol.
Such a superb static exhibition allowed all spectators to admire the various aircraft up close, making a unique day even more exciting. An extraordinary event that saw the participation of thousands of spectators from all over Italy and many European countries.
