OPEN DAY
10th Tactical Wing
Kleine Brogel AFB
Peer
Belgium
9Th September 2017
Also this year on the occasion of the 40th edition of the Sunset Sannicole Air Show, the base of Kleine Brogel, home of the 10th Tactical Wing and home of the 31st and 349th Squadron, opens its doors to enthusiasts from all over Europe for the day dedicated to Spotter Day. A perfect organization, certainly helped by the weather conditions that after a rainy day have given moments of sun and excellent light. Throughout the day started with the opening of the gates at 9.30, the aircraft engaged in the nearby Sanicole Air Show have taken off and landing for the rehearsals of the event the next day. Most of the planes were deployed on the parallel link to the runway, thus allowing excellent shots to the aircraft ready for takeoffs. Some aircraft found their place in the pitches behind the main runway, away from the spectators. The grass and concrete yard at the head of the track near the areas provided for photographers was occupied by all the aircrafts present at the Air Show.

British Aerospace Hawk Mk.65A Saudi Arabia - Air Force
The number of aircraft present inside the base was considerable, although unfortunately some aircraft (McDonnell Douglas CF-18 Hornet Canadian Air Force and Jas 39 Gripen Hungarian Air Force) defected the event. A truly heterogeneous flight line showing off the acrobatic paws of the Frecce Tricolori (Italian Air Force), Patrulla Aspa (Spanish Air Force), Royal Jordanian Falcons (Royal Jordanian Air Force), Breitling Jet Team, (the world’s largest professional civilian flight team performing on jets), and Red Devils (Belgian Air Force). Great curiosity among the spotter has aroused the presence of the Saudi Hawks acrobatic team of the Royal Saudi Air Force. Present on the flight line the best fighters of the latest generation, the Eurofighter Typhoon of the Royal Air Force, the French Dassault RafaleB and the JAS-39C Gripen of the Swedish Air Force. For all lovers of the old generation aircraft, over the McDonnell Douglas F-18C Hornet of the Finnish Air Force on all the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29A Fulcrum of the Polish Air Force.
