The 51st Wing reopens its doors to all enthusiasts on the occasion of the Open Day on March 28th. A great opportunity to admire up close the work of the 51st Wing equipped with the Eurofighter Typhoon since November 2109 and returned over 20 years later to the surveillance and air defense service of the territory. Flight activity was reduced on this occasion with only two missions carried out by the 2 EFA 2002 of the 132nd Flight Group.

Guests during the morning flight activity were the Frecce Tricolori who, with six out of 10 aircraft, tried all the figures that characterize their show. The soloist of the Frecce Tricolori was much photographed and once again gave a great demonstration of the flying capabilities of his Aermacchi 339CD PAN The welcome of the staff of the Istrana Base is always excellent, which continues with a series of events to celebrate the great passion and love for the Italian Air Force
