The Poggio Dart 2025, a NATO military air exercise, which sees Italy as the host country in 2025, ended on December 5th. The exercise was based at the Istrana base, home of the 51st Wing. Turkish Air Force aircraft with (three F-4E Phantom II), belonging to the 1nci Ana Jet Üs Komutanlığı Wing, have been deployed at the Istrana base The 111 Filo — nicknamed "Panterler" (Panthers) is based at the Eskişehir base in Turkey and operates with the modernized version of the F-4E/2020 Terminator, obtained thanks to a modernization program with the intervention of the Israeli industry.

Poggio Dart 2025 has various operational and training purposes.
1. Testing interoperability between NATO Allies.
2. Verify and implement common air command and control procedures.
3. Assess operational readiness and deployability.
4. Experimenting with the concept of "Agile Combat Employment" (ACE)
5. Strengthening integrated air defence and radar/air asset coordination.
 The exercise strengthens interoperability between air forces of different nations — crucial for joint operations, standardization of procedures and collaboration in real-world scenarios and is conducted by NATO's Air Defense and Command/Control Command Command, with contributions from various allied countries.
The objective of Poggio Dart 2025 is to test, consolidate and strengthen joint air defence capabilities and rapid and integrated air operations between NATO allies — from planning to control, from radar to air fleet, from mobility to interoperability.
For Italy, being a seat and a participant in the first person confirms its central role in aerospace defense and Euro-Atlantic cooperation.
